We are so excited to share this news!
New York Wildlife Rescue Center is one of the largest not-for-profit animal rescues of its type in the USA. We have worked tirelessly for the last 20 years, saving hundreds of animals a year. We were instrumental in rescuing nearly 600 llamas from the Montana Large Animal Sanctuary, and we continue to save hundreds of animals every year. We do all this with no county, state, or federal funding.
For many years, our goal has been to build a facility which will very likely be the largest eagle rehabilitation flight in the northeast. This project will also include a black bear cub enclosure, to help the region’s growing number of orphans. There are currently very few facilities in the state for these young bears, and very few flight facilities large enough to properly rehab an eagle.
Our fundraising goal, in order to accomplish this feat, is $100,000. If a corporation donates half of that amount, we will inscribe their name on a plaque on the building. Of course, all donations to NYWRC, Inc. are tax-deductible.
We hope to really focus on fundraising over the winter, and in the upcoming year. To kick off the drive, we have some very exciting news!
A generous donor has gifted NYWRC with this beautiful 16-foot 2017 stock trailer. We will be auctioning it to the highest bidder!
It’s truly a beautiful trailer, and will be available for viewing at our facility. We will be accepting bids via Facebook Private Message to Wes, and already have one private bid of $1,000. Follow this post, where we will be posting the high bid updates. Do note that due to the great quality of this trailer, there will be a reserve on the item. Our posted comments will let you know when that reserve has been met.
Questions about the trailer may also be asked in the comments. Be sure to follow them carefully, as you don’t want to miss the notice that you have been outbid!
