As we shared on Facebook the other day, this young Bald Eagle was found in emaciated condition and with an injured wing by one of our good neighbors in Middleburgh. Thanks to the dedication of our volunteers, the Eagle is now at Cornell, undergoing treatment. Think good thoughts for this young bird, that it enjoys a full recovery and can be successfully released.
On a happy note, the Barred Owl pictured here made a full recovery and has been released back into the wild.
Thanks to our volunteer, Sheyenne, for the new photos of the Eagle and the one of the Barred Owl. The image with Wes and the Eagle is one we’ve already shared on our Facebook page.
All of our work is done by unpaid volunteers. If you would like to support our efforts to help wildlife, please consider making a donation.
